As an update to the September 2016 Legionnaires’ disease outbreak at La Quinta Inn in Memphis, the Shelby County Health Department has released its report with the findings of its investigation.
The Hotel provided a list of about 6,000 guests to the Shelby County Health Department for consideration. The Health Department sent emails and letters to over 3700 guests with available contact information. Of those contacted the report indicates that 51 individuals were interviewed and that resulted in 42 individuals identified that met the case definition.
